Is ABODE Home a retail chain?

NO! ABODE is based in Wichita, KS and locally owned by long time Wichita resident and entrepreneur, Bill Jackson. Besides ABODE, Bill owns Suite Options ( www.suiteoptions.com ), a corporate housing company and the largest Marriott ExecuStay franchise in the country, and Furniture Options ( www.furnitureoptions.com ), a furniture rental company, with locations throughout the mid-west.

How does ABODE Home differ from other furniture stores?
We saw an opportunity to introduce fresh, fun, lively and AFFORDABLE home furnishings and accessories that previously could only be found in larger metropolitan areas. We also wanted to provide a unique level of service that would focus on solving problems as they relate to specific rooms in the customers home. ABODE specializes in unique looks from around the world; furniture that will compliment your personality. Some words to describe us: Transitional, Contemporary, Asian, Metropolitan, Retro, Evolving...You!

Is downtown a good location for furniture shopping?
Downtown is fun! It is the heart of our city, accessible to both East and West side residents. The restoration of Old Town, the Waterwalk project, the revitalization of the Delano District, the new state of the art sports arena, newly developed and developing loft homes; Downtown is the perfect place for ABODE. We find a lot of our customers live downtown. Wichita's downtown is the start of something great! Douglas Avenue from Oliver to Washington has nearly a dozen furniture retailers.

Do you offer design services?
Yes, It is another thing that separates ABODE from your run of the mill furniture store. There is no charge for our free design services. Click here to find out more about our design services.

Can I receive an estimate? Can I give you a strict budget and expect you to stay within it?
You control what you want to spend and we ask that question early on. If you are unsure of the costs, we can help you with our budget development process. It simply gives you an understanding of what the cost would be based on the furnishings you select. Remember, we want you to be in total control of what you spend, what selections you choose, etc. we are simply making helpful suggestions based on what you've told us about your likes, dislikes and how you want to live. In order to make the best possible suggestions for each customer it is imperative that we understand the budget immediately. You may want to complete the project in phases, no problem. You may want to purchase a sofa, loveseat and chair and in two months purchase the rug, end tables and coffee table, and finally the artwork and decorative accessories, or do the living room now and in two months do the dining room, etc. We'll work with you any way you'd like.

If I special order something, how long will it take to get here?
At ABODE you can customize the furniture just the way you want. Generally you can expect to receive your furniture within 6 to 8 weeks.

What is your delivery process?
We pride ourselves on our ability to offer you exceptional service from the first time you enter the store to the final delivery. We're always looking for opportunities to WOW you, and our delivery process is no exception. Our delivery crew truly cares about your home. We offer "white glove service" and wear booties to protect your floors. Everything will always be completely assembled and the guys always vacuum up before they leave. Being a local company, do you feel your business gives back more to the community?
We think that ABODE is playing a part in the revitalization of Douglas just east of Old Town. We have seen renewed interest within 5 blocks around our store. We want to be leaders in everything we do, our design process, our furniture styles, our store, everything! We work hard to be an asset to our community through sponsorship of the Junior Leagues Holiday Galleria, featuring local artist during Final Friday Gallery Crawls and a variety of civic endeavors.
