Downtown is fun, vibrant and thriving and we at ABODE Home are proud to be part of the current re-vitalization of downtown Wichita.  Our furniture  is the perfect compliment to the sophisticated and exquisite style and quality found in developments like the Lofts at St. Francis.  More and more residents, along with retailers like ABODE , are calling downtown home; beautiful housing as seen in the Lofts continue to be developed. New businesses are consistently moving in....this is the start of something great for Wichita's downtown.   We're very happy to be at the forefront of all the development and can't wait to see what happens next!

Working with Mike and Karen on their new home was very exciting from the get go. They were moving from a traditional home to an entirely new lifestyle...urban living in a downtown loft. Their new home was slated for completion in December 2005 and we started collaborating on their vision seven months prior to the actual move. My job as their designer was to create a space that fulfilled their desire for a contemporary look, without losing a sense of their personal style. In the end, we created a very elegant and warm living space (not always easy in an open loft) which was the perfect union of their old and new life. We made their dream home come to life and forged a bond to last a lifetime.

“Wow!” That’s the reaction Shelly Rogers, designer for Goentzel Construction, counted on when she asked the team at ABODE Home to furnish the company’s latest model home at 2554 Rosemont Ct. in The Hawthorne. With it’s stone exterior, copper copula and wood panel entry door, this home exudes a stately, old world charm. But once you enter, you realize it offers something quite different…the perfect fusion of Traditional, Asian and Modern styling. When Shelly first approached the designers at ABODE , she requested furniture and accessories that would complement and enhance the dramatic features of the home and show that a traditional home can meld perfectly with today’s styles and furnishings. The results exceeded all expectations and earned Goentzel and ABODE “Best Decorating and Merchandising” and “Best Master Suite” honors for the 2006 Spring Parade of Homes.

Ed and Kelly were so easy to work with. They along with many other ABODE customers call downtown Wichita and the Rumley Lofts their home. The lofts give the residents the sense of living in a large metropolitan setting. "It's just a different style of living" said Kelly Bolin. "We wanted to simplify our lives," her husband Ed added, and the furniture from ABODE fits the style perfectly.
